Adapta's Head of Accounts, Peter Newhall, is newly engaged to long-time love Emily Nystrom. The two met while attending Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
Picnics in the Minneapolis lake district are a favorite weekend activity for these two, however on Saturday, August 11, 2012, a grassy spot overlooking Lake Nokomis was the site of something more special than lunch enjoyed al fresco. Shortly after eating, Peter insisted Emily was sitting on something on the picnic blanket. She got up to see what it was and when she turned around, Peter was on one knee. The proposal ensued and Emily's response was simply, "I'd love to." She then proceeded to tackle him to the ground. Not sure it gets sweeter than this, folks :)
Emily works as a Proofreader/Editor for Go East, a St. Paul creative agency. She also does freelance editing for the Twin Cities food blog Heavy Table.
